Description:
Early Childhood is an important time to help young children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) develop critical language and learning skills. The Ohio Center for Autism and Low Incidence (OCALI) has developed an online course that includes video examples in homes and preschool classrooms to introduce evidence-based strategies that can be used in natural environments during typical routines and activities of toddlers and preschoolers. This hybrid PD provides an opportunity for early childhood educators, assistant teachers, related services providers, and families to complete these modules in a combination of three face-to-face meetings and independent work for a total of 18 hours of Professional Development Credit. Participants will view modules located on the OCALI.org website, then come together for in-depth discussions and activities.
