Formative Instructional Practice

Formative Instructional Practices (FIP)

FIP is an instructional practice focused on student learning and understanding.  Informal and formal data is collected during the learning so that the teacher can differentiate, support, or adjust the teaching to meet the needs of all students.
Battelle for Kids has FIP modules designed to assist districts, schools, and teachers in implementing these researched based best practices.
The Ohio Improvement Process (OIP), Ohio Leadership Advisory Council (OLAC), and Battelle for Kids work all align and are built from sound educational research.
