The newly released Preschool IDEA Monitoring process includes monitoring questions that are required to be completed by programs with a Tier 2 - 4 rating. Districts who were unrated this year may also wish to begin working through the monitoring questions to identify program strengths and goals. As discussed in the Introduction to Preschool IDEA Monitoring training in January, districts may collaborate to compile universal evidence sources. Participants in this networking opportunity will work together to review the monitoring questions and create a shared evidence folder through Google Drive.
Programs can then add supplemental evidence that is specific to each district. The SST2 Early Learning and School Readiness Consultant will also be available to answer questions about the IDEA Monitoring process and Preschool special education requirements.
Any members of the Preschool Leadership Team (as listed on page 7 of the Tier 2 Monitoring Guide) are invited to participate. This work session is NOT Ohio Approved. Participants may request a certificate of attendance for 3 clock hours.
