Both OIP and PBIS are highly researched based and are proven to have great positive impact for all students. Adults make the difference for students. To improve schools adults need to ensure a positive climate that is focused on students. These changes can take place within the district/school's Teacher-Based Team (TBT), Building Leadership Team (BLT) and District Leadership Team (DLT) meetings.
In order to have a lasting, positive impact on student achievement a school must meet the academic and behavioral needs of all students. OIP and PBIS work hand-in-hand to support schools in meeting these needs. Success for all is only achieved when the school promotes a collaborative culture through critical, reflective, data supported decision making focused on student needs.
