Students enter our schools with a wide range of abilities. The State Support Team for Region 2 is available with resources, professional development offerings and focused technical assistance to support districts in Erie, Huron, and Lorain counties in meeting the needs of these diverse learners.  Explore below to learn more...
  
English Learners are students whose primary or home language is other than English and who need special language assistance in order to effectively participate in school instructional programs. 
 
Gifted Students are defined in the Ohio Revised Code (3324.01) as those who perform or show potential for performing at remarkably high levels of accomplishment when compared to others of their age, experience or environment.

Students with disabilities are children evaluated in accordance with rule 3301-51-06 of the Administrative Code as having a disability under one or more of the categories identified in IDEA and who require special education and related services. 

Hearing and Vision Screening Equipment Available

SST Region 2 has teamed up with the Ohio Department of Health to house a hearing and vision screening for school personnel to borrow at no cost.
