Ohio's State Support Teams

Ohio's State Support Teams

There are 16 State Support Teams in Ohio that are responsible for the delivery of regional services. State Support Teams provide high quality professional development on evidence-based practices proven to improve achievement for all students, including children with disabilities and children at risk for school failure. State Support Team consultants provide professional development and focused technical assistance on a variety of topics, including special education, school improvement, preschool, Positive Behavior Intervention & Supports, and transition.

The State Support Teams work collaboratively with districts through a continuous improvement process to ensure each child in Ohio has access to high-quality education by focusing on refining adult practices, fostering collaborative relationships and building a districts’ capacity around leadership, professional capital and instructional practices.

By improving adult knowledge of evidence-based practices related to these key strategies and transferring that knowledge to the classroom educators can improve the education of all students, including diverse learners.
